It’s not everyday that a restaurant raises money for a charity. Not to mention, a whopping $100,000!! RoyAl’s have stirred attention here in Perth with their ambitious goal to raise nearly $2,000 a week for one year to support various local charities. Check out the deets below!
Roll out the carpet for the RoyAl’s Celebrity Burger
To get to their goal of $100,000 buckaroonies, RoyAl’s are releasing “Celebrity Burger” every fortnight.
Now, “what’s a Celebrity Burger”—you ask?
A Celebrity Burger is a special RoyAl’s burger created by a local or international celebrity. Every 2 weeks there will be a new celebrity, a new burger and a new charity that the celebrity nominates. With $10 from every Celebrity Burger sold going towards the charity, the Celebrity Burger has the potential to really make a difference.
Burgers for Charity!
With the initiative kicking off in March 2023, so far RoyAl’s have seen a line up of some jaw-dropping burger combinations that will tickle those taste buds like never before…
Che’iesta Burger
First up, RoyAl’s kicked off their Celebrity Burger campaign with the ‘Che’iesta Burger.’ Crafted by Malaysian Australian recording artist and songwriter Che’Nelle, also known as the ‘Princess of Love’ in Japan… and now the ‘Princess of Burgers’ in Perth.
In the burger: guacamole, corn chips, roasted peppers, juicy beef patty, premium cheddar, a drizzle of the speciality RoyAl’s sauces and smacked between two fluffy sesame buns. It’s crunchy, cheesy and fresh—a true ‘bun’dle of joy.
Che’Nelle nominated Mettle Women as her charity, an organisation that employs women who are experiencing homelessness due to domestic and family violence, creating thoughtful gift boxes that are shipped internationally.
The Handbrake Cherry
Following Che’Nelle, RoyAl’s welcomed renowned WA artist Hans Bruechle aka Handbrake Design. Hans mixed things up with a mouth-watering dessert-styled burger “The Handbrake Cherry.”
In the burger: toasted Royal’s bun in butter and sugar, vanilla ice cream and a generous serving of housemade cherry compote… this one is truly a cherry bomb of flavour.
Hans nominated Youth Focus WA for donations, which delivers frontline services and education to promote mental well-being to help young people with symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self harm.
Chick-For-Ray
Just announced, RoyAl’s will be releasing a fried chicken delicacy “Chick-For-Ray” created by the legendary ‘music guy’ from Swan City Youth Service—Ray Tanielu.
In the burger: creole remoulade, jalapeños, lettuce, double bacon, premium cheddar, RoyAl’s iconic crispy buttermilk chicken and drizzled with maple syrup. Oh man, this one is clucking good.
Ray will be raising money for the Swan City Youth Centre Service, a center providing “a home away from home” for disadvantaged youths throughout the Midland area.
Support the cause, eat a burger.
If you’re looking for (another) excuse to eat one of RoyAl’s tasty AF burgers, here it is. 50% of the profits are going straight to the charity’s pocket. All you need to do is place your order and dig into a mouthwatering feed. By doing so, you’ll be giving back to the community.
To get your hands on one of these burgers, you can visit one of their three stores (Wembley, Northbridge & East Vic Park), order through DoorDash or purchase via UberEats. Either way you choose, you can rest assured knowing that those dollars are going to the charity.
