Kids, we love them, but it’s a hassle keeping them occupied between bites. The dream is to leave your kiddos to their own devices (under your distant watchful eye) while you attempt to eat a meal in semi-peace.
So you don’t have to skimp out on quality feed and good vibes for a highchair, this is our guide to the best child-friendly restaurants in Perth that will keep the fussiest of fingers happy.
Bailey Brewing Co.
Take a drive out to West Swan with Bailey Brewing Co. in mind. This place will keep your kiddos entertained for hours with a flying fox and an extensive rustic playground ready and waiting for their arrival. Take it easy whilst the kids play and sneak glances at the nearby sports screen.
The super relaxed, family-owned brewhouse takes the hassle out of dining out with your entourage. There are plenty of menu options for kids, big bites for yourself and pizza to share on the table. Plus, not to mention their impressive list of beers that are a must-try on your visit.
Despite the huge space, this place often reaches capacity. Book ahead if you’d like to be close to the play area.
The Boatshed Cafe
Let the kids clamber up the cafe’s cubby house whilst you take in the beautiful backdrop of the Swan River. Not to be confused with The Boatshed Restaurant next door, the Cafè serves breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon tea. A wonderful way to soak up the morning sunshine.
One of our favourite kid-friendly cafés in Perth! It’s ideal to meet for a coffee pre or post-school run, or to show off the city skyline to visitors. Simple, straightforward cafè menu with kids dining for $12-14. Insider tip: there are rave reviews for the kid’s spaghetti bolognese.
The Quarter Acre Hotel
The Quarter Acre has quickly become a staple among Applecross residents, with its neighbourhood pub vibes with a zesty fresh look. Even better than the atmosphere is the menu. An excellent pick for catch-ups with the family without feeling like you’re skimping out on quality. Choose from share nibbles, tacos, burgers and classic mains, with special mention to the nachos and porchetta.
It can get packed on the weekends, which might leave you waiting in line for a drink. Bookings are non-essential but recommended for groups between eight and twenty. See the sand pit play area for the kids out the back, and keep them fed with mini mains for $11 washed down with an ice cream sundae or spider… you might even want to opt for the kids menu too!
Blasta Brewing
Burswood’s rare gem for parents! Blasta Brewing is so good we almost want to keep it on the down low. But luckily, Blasta Brewing boasts a huge warehouse interior and beer garden outdoor space, plenty of room for everyone!
From coffee to beer, and baked goods to your better-than-average pub meal, this kid-friendly restaurant in Perth has room for everyone. Outside you’ll find the kid’s shaded sandpit with toys and chalkboard walls outside, dogs are welcome here too!

Gage Roads
Breweries in Perth offer great family-friendly locations to eat, drink and play for all age groups! Gage Roads is one of these breweries that have ensured they cater for the little ones whilst they pour you a pale ale.
The left end of the building hosts your sandpit, a playground fitted out with a real disused car and multi-level boat. At the right end, you’ll find a fire pit and occasional live music. Or sit port side and stay entertained with a board game from their selection.
Grommets menu pricing sits at $12, with the rest of the menu offering pizza, tacos and plenty to share. Walk-ins only, but despite the big space, better to get in early for prime seating positions!
Koorak Cafe
A new addition to Kings Park, Koorak Cafe is your slice of serenity. Situated by the children’s playground in the quieter end of Kings Park. There’s ample indoor space with open windows to the park or, find a cosy spot amongst their outdoor area.
Their menu is truly superb too. Fresh, filling and delicious, there’s something for everyone no matter how picky your little ones might be! Kids’ breakfasts and lunches are reasonably priced at $6-15. For a more informal eating experience, choose from their house-baked cakes and cabinet items.
Koorak Cafe is a glorious spot to take in the surrounding nature, enjoy a delicious meal and let the kiddies run wild.
Dutch Trading Co.
Hole in the wall DTC, or Dutch Trading Co. will fulfil your two-pint Sunday craving whilst the kiddies have fun playing in the sandpit.
For adults, there’s pool and pinball (and let’s not forget their superb beer menu). And for the kiddos, there’s a sandpit with an array of toys outside!
